Its users include celebrities and other public figures, media outlets, businesses, government agencies, and charities. The company’s service has approximately 140 million monthly active users in China and in Chinese communities in more than 190 countries worldwide. Weibo was founded during 2009 and is headquartered in Beijing, China. However, it’s incorporated in the Cayman Islands. The company went public during 2014.
