09/06/17: The Institute of Supply Management (“ISM”) reported today that its August survey of executives at U.S. non-manufacturing companies indicates that economic activity in the services sector of the U.S. economy rebounded modestly during August after slowing considerably during July.

In regard to its index of services-sector activity, the ISM reported that its non-manufacturing index rose to 55.3, from 53.9 during the prior month.
