Who We Are and What We Do

Investors Monitor is an online provider of financial market research and related information and services that are tailored to the needs of registered investment advisors (“RIAs”), money managers with small research staffs and high net-worth individual investors.

Our primary mission is to help RIAs and money managers to increase their assets under management by keeping them abreast, in an efficient manner, of factors and developments that are likely to affect the future direction of the worldwide financial markets and the values of their clients’ investment portfolios and by providing them with information on market sectors and individual securities that are likely to outperform related benchmarks during any given environment.

As you can see from the charts below, we’ve been very successful in achieving those goals by helping RIAs and money managers to avoid the big downturns, profit from the major upturns, and invest in the right sectors and individual securities at the right times.

David N. Frazier

Founding Partner, President & Chief Market Strategist

David Frazier has an extensive background in the financial services industry and has invested in the financial markets for more than 30 years.

In addition to working as a business analyst, merchant banking analyst and equity research analyst, David has worked in sales and marketing at institutional investment firms, including William O’Neil & Co. (the publisher of Investor’s Business Daily) and Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.

He’s also operated his own investment consulting firm, where he provided research and analytical services to Dan Sullivan’s The Chartist, Leeb Capital Group, Meeder Investment Management and The Flex-funds family of mutual funds.

Prior to founding Frazier, Browne and Mayer, LLC, David wrote a very successful investment newsletter for Newsmax Media, with his model portfolio outperforming the S&P 500 Total Return Index by 27.9 percentage points from the inception of that portfolio on September 18, 2007 to the time that he left Newsmax on January 24, 2012.

David holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, with a major in Finance and a minor in Economics, and he’s taken numerous post-graduate courses in Finance and Accounting at Harvard University and the University of California at Los Angeles. In addition, he has passed the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative) and Series 65 (Investment Advisor) exams.

David lives in Jupiter, Florida with his wonderful wife and daughter, Yumiko and Christina. He enjoys baseball, boxing and tennis, and he practices Shaolin Kempo Karate.

John Browne

Founding Partner and Vice President of Global Geopolitical Research

John has an extensive background in the investment securities industry that spans more than 40 years. In addition to working as an investment banker for Morgan Stanley & Co., and in similar capacities for European Banking Company and Barclays Bank, he served on the boards of other banks and corporations.

John has significant experience also in politics, serving as a member of the British Parliament from 1979 to 1992, and as a Westminster City Councillor from 1974 to 1978.

Among his many notable assignments, John served on the Parliamentary Treasury Select Committee, as elected Chairman of the Conservative Small Business Committee, Secretary of the Middle East Committee and as an advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. He introduced 4 Bills and worked on numerous government issues involving high-level political leaders, including President Ronald Reagan, Saudi Arabia’s King Faisal and Communist Party General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev.

Previously, he served in the Grenadiers of the British Royal Guard after graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Britain’s version of West Point. Having served as a pilot, parachutist and communications specialist, he retired as a Major.

John has lectured regularly on economic and political issues in many regions of the world including in the Kremlin. His audiences have included: Cambridge University; the Federal Reserve Board of Philadelphia; Harvard University; MIT; RMA Sandhurst; the U.S. Congressional Committee on Foreign Affairs; the U.S. Military, Naval and Air Force Academies; Volvo (U.S.) the White House Outreach Program; the War College, Washington; and the Young Presidents Organization.

He appears frequently on television news and financial channels, including programs on CNBC, CNBC (Asia), Fox News, and the Fox Business Network.

John holds a Masters of Science degree from Britain’s Cranfield Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Robert M. Mayer

Founding Partner and Vice President of Marketing

Robert Mayer oversees all of Frazier, Browne and Mayer, LLC’s marketing activities and serves as a liaison with the firm’s institutional clients.

In addition to having an extensive background in sales and marketing, Robert has more than 30 years of experience in the investment securities industry.

After graduating from the University of California at Los Angeles with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics, he joined Merrill Lynch & Co. during 1982 in the firm’s commodities department.

In 1985, Robert left Merrill Lynch to work as a Registered Investment Representative for Kennedy, Cabot & Company, where he consulted individual investors on their investment and trading decisions. In 1987, he joined Waterhouse Securities (now TDAmeritrade), where he functioned in a similar capacity.

During late 2000, Robert left Waterhouse Securities to focus on managing his personal investment account. Since then, he’s earned a comfortable living from trading stocks and options.

Robert co-founded Frazier and Mayer Research, LLC with David Frazier during July 2011.
