06/05/18: HD Supply Holdings (HDS) reported that its income from continuing operations before income taxes, excluding restructuring charges and losses on extinguishment of debt, rose by 57.4% on a 14.2% increase in the company’s revenues, a 14.3% increase in its cost of goods sold and a 5.9% increase in its operating expenses for the three months ended April 29, 2017, as compared to the same period a year ago.

Navistar (NAV) reported net income of $61 million on a 15.6% year-over-year increase in the company’s revenues, an 11.9% increase in its cost of goods sold and a 4.9% decrease in its operating expenses for the three months ended April 30, 2017. In comparison, the company reported a $75 million loss for the same period a year ago.

NCI Building Systems (NCS) reported that its income before income taxes, excluding acquisition related expenses, losses on disposals of assets, gains on insurance recoveries, and losses on extinguishment of debt, declined by 68.9% on an 8.7% increase in the company’s revenues, a 10.4% increase in its cost of goods sold and a 3.7% decrease in its operating expenses for the three months ended April 29, 2017, as compared to the same period a year ago.
